Targeting Cancer's Membrane

PNC-27's appeal is selectivity: it exploits HDM2, a protein that sits on cancer-cell membranes but not normal cells, forming lethal pores only in the tumor. In theory, that's the holy grail — kill cancer, spare healthy tissue — and it's a fundamentally different strategy from chemotherapy (which poisons dividing cells indiscriminately) or immunotherapy (which redirects the immune system).
