Mechano Growth Factor and Satellite Cells

When you load a muscle hard, the fibers respond by splicing IGF-1 into MGF locally — right at the site of damage. MGF then wakes up satellite cells, the muscle's resident stem cells, which proliferate and donate nuclei to repair the damaged fiber. It's a beautifully direct link: mechanical stress → local peptide signal → stem-cell recruitment → repair.
