Why Cartilage Is a Hard Target
Articular cartilage is one of the hardest tissues in the body to influence: it's avascular (no blood vessels to deliver therapeutics), has low cell density, and heals poorly. That's exactly why a bioregulator aimed at supporting chondrocytes — the cells that maintain cartilage — is conceptually appealing.
